In the state of California, it is the association's responsibility to perform visual inspections to the exterior elevated elements (EEEs) and the associated waterproofing components using a licensed structural engineer or architect by January 1st, 2025 and every 9 years thereafter. New buildings need their first inspection 6 years after occupancy.
